Reunited and It Feels So Good feat The Trippple Nippples

It was 4am on friday morning and Ebony and I were beginning to realize that sleep was not something that we would be doing much of this year. Our flight was scheduled to take us from Sydney to Tokyo in just a few hours and we were in the final stretch of packing and preparing for our Make Believe launch in Tokyo. Ahhhhh! All I can remember of that blurr was actually forgetting to put on my pants after taking a shower just before the taxi arrived, and calling Ebony "Sweetie Pants" as a pet name. Strange.

Oh and we were traveling with child. This is Uncle Oli with my Baby, Chaki Junior, on his way to meet his Dad Chaki for the first time....Airports are more fun with babies!!!

We managed to stay awake long enough to get on that plane! Trying to sleep was a challenge as excitement ran through my veins! It was going to be such a sweet sweet reunion in Tokyo!

We landed and went straight into the genki drinks followed by red bull and vodka! Can we say heart palpitations??? Met everyone at ampm (still my favorite convenience store) and headed to Le Baron.

On the way to the club, Roxi somehow transformed into a little black furry character from a Ghibli animation! What a special little guy!

Arriving at Le Baron, I hadn't seen Yuka since Tokyo last summer and Qrea since Paris last spring, so you can imagine my delight when I saw the Trippple Nippples coming into Le Baron at the same time! eeeek! Reunited and it feels so goood!!!

The best thing about it was seeing them wearing off-kilter tutus with polka dot knickers, braids spiked to the ceiling and eyelashes all over the place! This is what the Trippple Nippples are all about...shocking sexy insanity!!!

And their show was nothing less than incredible! Sprawling out over the strippers pole pedistal, shooting off fireworks of ribbon and rapping about ice cream and meat! The Trippples Nippples have something hidden up their sleeves (if they were ever wearing shirts) and we are all about to see what will happen next! oooooohhhie!

Ebony and me getting all tangled up with our girls....

Remember Zima from Waynes World??? All good things that have been forgotten at home still live on in Tokyo...and this is why we heart Japan!!! A little random i know!

Fancy Him and Him and Him and Him!

So I have got to admit. I almost didn't make it to the last Fancy Him in Ni Chome, Tokyo. I had been looking forward to April 4th for so long; ready to work it, shake it, jazz it up and let loose, so I surprised myself when I passed out only a mere hour before the festivities began. eek!

Let me explain myself. I had been drinking since 10am in yoyogi park under the incredible cherry blossoms. By 8 pm I had a large bottle of vodka in my hands. I am not going to admit to drinking it straight all by myself, but I will admit that things got a little hazy and magical! Although I dont remember, we left the park and walked home in the rain. Next thing I know, Ebony is storming into the apartment looking like a million bucks shouting with a shocked tone "Amber Joy, what the hell are you doing? Get up and get dressed! I am grabbing a cab and you had better arrive right after me!" And she was gone. Uuugh, as if I could party I was way too sleepy. So I phoned her to double check whether I actually had to be in attendance, and yes, it was imperative.

I whipped together and outfit. Who knew I would get so much use out of a mesh t-shirt in Tokyo, but it really saved me time and time again! No make-up was canceled out by my decision to sport high heels. Within minutes Magu and I were in a taxi bound for Ni Chome (aka Gay Town).

Me, Magu and mesh T-shirt upon arrival.

Hachi blessed us momentarily, and though he would not have a drink with us in the club, we enjoyed a Chu-Hi outside Sunkus...Gay Towns most happening conbini!

Ebony and Leo just catching up on all the latest gossip. Love it!

E Bone and Detto, the latest edition to the family. The boy has got style AND grace!

We love short shorts!!! And we love him!

I forget your name, but I know your secret nic name...ごめんね! Love you for a few reasons; your jacket, your t-shirt which I just noticed now, your smooth moves on the dance floor and the fact that you look like my baby daddy!

Sanya, we love you! Thanks for the party and thanks for dressing Ebony!

Roxi is in awe of Sonia's smooth grandfather x boxer dance moves. Work it!

Love waking up to a little strobe and a sweaty dance floor!

おいしそ!! Yoshirotten sandwich on white bread!

C'mon Theresa....Pump Up The JAMMMMMMM!

Anita san is too much fun on the decks, all the tired feet in the house were jumping until 5am!

Leon and Qrea doing some synchronized dancing. Spicy!

Boys Boys Boys!!! We love you Yohei and Detto!

Yohei fell asleep just like me, only he slept through his DJ set...oopsies!

Yuya and Tapu enjoying the fresh morning light!

Good Morning!

Time to go home, we were all in desperate need of some serious beauty sleep!!!

Thank God the whirlwind of E bone woke me up, cause I would have missed a fabulous party full of the Gay, the Bold, and the Beautiful. Incredible!

Make Believe Magical Hanami Party

It was a glorious saturday morning in Tokyo, the sun was shining and the princes and princesses had only been asleep for less than 3 hours. The Kawaii party the night before kept us out late and kept our dancing shoes busting grooves until the wee hours of morning. The time had come to rise up, put on our magical outfits and head to Yoyogi Park to reserve a spot for our big Make Believe hanami party.

For those who do not know Hanami, it is a time when nearly every single person in Japan who is not tied down by work or manga heads to parks, rivers or wherever they can, to sit under the beautiful cherry blossoms that only bloom once a year. And what do you do under the sakura? Eat and drink everything sakura flavored, laugh, dance, eat more, drink more and more and more until everyone is red in the face and every person pic-nic-ing on a tarp around you is your best friend.

Hanami is a magical time, and boy were we feeling magical (note: this feeling can sometimes be confused with the feeling of intoxication).

Thanks to all those who came and shared in the magic and mayhem!

This is the Cherry Blossom Dragon, Frida Beyonce Gold. What fabulous mascot for Hanami '09!

The early risers, and the most serious about blossoms. It was before noon and we were all 2 drinks in....even the dragon!

Dan Baily was telling us all week that the blossoms were in fact "dead in the bud" and they would not bloom this year. Dan you are a liar...but a well dressed liar at that!

A Tokyo family reunion...so much love, and incredible how we are all so young! Grandpa Jo and Papa Leon and all their offspring....Qrea and Yuka, Sonia and Frida and the boys Magu and Yohei!

Dad and his daughters...he is everything sensible behind Make Believe! Amazing how dad gave birth to Ebony Fleur when he was -3 years old and me when he was the tender age of +3 years.

Yakisoba and Beer and Pringles...Oh my!!!

Along with our dragon mascot, little Momo was the life of the party... She's a wild party animal and we had to hold her down as she was dancing and singing and stealing the show. Auntie Sanya is here taming the little peach!

Some people smoke cigarettes and apparently some eat the boxes...everyone has got a vice. I think i am gonna have to sort mine out. I am not sure whoes is more unhealthy, Yoshiros smoking or my eating of boxes?

Gentlemen Gentlemen. This is a train that all boys and girls wanna ride!
May I introduce, Joseph, Jesus, and Yohei.

I know it was my idea, but I am not sure at which point I decided to get Jo to help me invite the homeless guy to our little party! But nonetheless it was a great idea! Homeless guy was a great party trick, loved hugs and didn't mind Jo swinging him around like a small child.
I dont know why my new homeless friend didnt recognize me the next day?

Mmmmm mmmm. I will have one Ebony Fleur sandwich with a side of Yohei and Yoshirotten おねがいします!

Woahhhhhh! The magic had gotten to all of us! Leon was singing to Ebony and we all needed to head home, take in some R n R and get ready to continue to party all night long......all night.....all night!

Disco Disco Runaway!

Okay Okay, it has now been a week since the mayhem known as Disco Runway, Tokyo Fashion Week's finale party thrown by our friends over at Tokyo Dandy ilil and Victoria. It was a smashing evening full of dancing on tables, disco sweat, carefully perfected hairdos flying and shmoozing with the who's who in Tokyo Fashion! Truth is, most of us are only now beginning to feel normal again!

Bryan Boy is one of our main men here at Make Believe, not only because he sweats glitter, but because he knows good from bad and right from wrong! And because he so graciously donned one of our newest Make Believe designed necklaces during fashion week. Stay tuned to see the pics! We love you BB!

The Trippple Nippples never ever fail to impress. Man or Woman, young or old, these girls will make your blood pump and horemones moan!

It has been a while since I heard the DJ ssstylings of Flash and Roxi, and what can I say...you blew me away! In fact, because your music was so magical, I am going to totally forgive you Roxi for dumping my drink on the floor right in front of me! Truce.

Mademoiselle Yulia let her hair down and took to the mic for some highest of quality entertainment. ちょうたのしかった!

Make Believe's own Ebony Fleur along side Mademoiselle Yulia and Takeshi from Sex and Dressed Undressed. That shit is hot!

Oh our beautiful Tokyo family, how we love thee! The lovely Takeru and 2Boy run this city!

The Grand Finale! Dan and Jo from Tokyo Dandy not only organized a fabulous party....they brought the party! Their slick DJ moves brought Yuya, Jesus and all the kids to the dancefloor . We cannot wait to collaborate!

Now that we are feeling recovered...I know that we are in for a serious weekend! Kawaii and Pony both have parties on tonight and then it is Make Believe Majical Hanami Party in Yoyogi koen Saturday followed by Vanity and Fancy Him!

Never ever seem to get enough of Tokyo!!!
